Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to a brush fire off Highway 154 east of Alisal Road in Solvang. The fire burned about 20-acres and prompted mandatory evacuations for about 50 homes in the area.
A fire that ignited in a field off Highway 101 near Alisal Road in Santa Barbara County burned 1,200 acres by Wednesday afternoon and prompted evacuations from nearby homes.
The blaze, dubbed the Alisal Fire, also prompted evacuations north of Highway 101, Kenny said.
